As a non-profit organization, Utah Renaissance Faire is always looking for passionate individuals to join our Volunteer Team! Volunteer FAQ

Why should I volunteer?

  • As a volunteer you will receive a free ticket for each completed volunteer shift, complimentary Ren Faire merch, access to our volunteer tent to rest and rehydrate during the faire, and the opportunity to work with other Ren Faire enthusiasts. 
  • We are a non-profit organization, working with us can count towards your broader volunteer hour goals or requirements. 
  • For the love of the Faire! 

 

What would I be doing as a volunteer?

  • Volunteer roles include, greeters, vendor relief, stage hosts, museum guards, information keepers, and set-up/take-down helpers.

What days are volunteers needed?

  • Thursday, August 21st 
  • Friday, August 22nd
  • Saturday, August 23rd
  • Sunday, August 24th

 

Who can volunteer?

  • Any individual 13 years and older, who can commit to at least one 4-hour shift at the event. 

 

What is the time commitment for volunteering?

  • Each volunteer shift is 4 hours. We ask that all volunteers complete at least one full shift. Volunteers may sign up for multiple shifts. 
  • There will be a 1 hour virtual training for all volunteers before the Faire.

 

I have limited mobility or need specific accommodations, can I volunteer?

 

What are volunteers required to wear?

  • We ask that any volunteers with shifts on the days of the Faire (Friday and Saturday) come dressed in an appropriate themed costume. For a list of appropriate costumes, please see our general FAQ. Volunteer lanyards will be provided to wear during a volunteer shift.
  • Volunteers helping with set up or take down on Thursday and Sunday should wear clothes appropriate for physical work outside, including sun protection and closed-toed shoes. 

     

    Is the Utah Renaissance Faire a Non-profit organization?

    • Yes. The Utah Renaissance Faire is an event hosted by the Utah Valley Arts Council which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
